James and Lara An illustration of an African-American couple. Some guy commissioned this but never coughed up the $$$ for the final illustration. Oh well. Cash up front from now on! I try to have a realistic ethnic mix in Loxie & Zoot. There aren't many African-Americans in Australia so there aren't any to be found at the Bares. Some characters are Aboriginal/ Australian Indigenous (eg Mungo). I love these two though (I named them specifically for this website) and reckon they'll have to holiday Down-Under in a story one day. |
